More six month birthday pictures

Renaissance baby fingers

What time period was it when they always painted the babies with two fingers up like that?

Chocolate or nothing

I guess Amos is thinking that he would rather have chocolate or nothing than have sweet potatoes. Or maybe he just likes to be aware of his surroundings.

Six Months Old

Amos is six months old today. He has started saying syllables. He said Ma a few days ago. I think he knows that we are called Mama and Dada and he knows that we want him to say those words. When we tell him to say them he just grins and turns his head to one side like, no way. He tried sweet potatoes for the first time today. He seemed a little put off by the strangeness of the flavor but it didn't slow him down much. He is better at grabbing things now. He likes to stretch out his arm and move it back and forth over a three to four inch range. He has been clasping his hands in front of his face lately and moving them back and forth like for "One potato, two potato..." He now has a small freckle on his forehead. I think it just appeared yesterday. He loves to laugh, especially when we say words that start with p or b. We firt noticed it with the word "party". He also laughs when you get his tummy with zerberts and play biting. He has been showing signs of teething periodically but no visible teeth yet.
